28 July, 2024 — we hosted the first ever Literary Death Match at Womad Festival in Malmesbury, Wiltshire (UK) that saw Erin Fornoff defeat Zahra Barri in a breathtaking battle of One Star Wonder that won Fornoff the LDM Womad, Ep. 1 medal, and literary immortality to go with it.

Green Man Festival, Ep. 1

August 18, 2018 — In our first foray into an event at a National Park, Literary Death Match headed to the Green Man Festival in Brecon Beacons, Wales for an afternoon delight that saw Rebecca Tantony narrowly outduel Susie Wild in sudden death during a One Star Wonder finale, winning Tantony the LDM Green Man, Ep. 1 crown and literary immortality to go with it.

Festival No. 6, Ep. 1

September 13, 2013 — On a drizzly Friday the 13th, Literary Death Match's Festival Festival No. 6 debut was fearless in the face of calamity, in a space overlooking Portmeirion's dazzling center. In a Literary Spelling Bee face-off, it was Rachael Allen who was able to out-letter co-finalist Richard Milward by a score of 17-11 to win the LDM Festival No. 6, Ep. 1 crown!

August 12, 2012 – In its first visit to the serene Wilderness Festival, Literary Death Match made them wild in a hot hurry, in an electric showcase that saw host Suzanne Azzopardi hand a well-earned gold medal to Femi Martin after a stunning display of instantaneous anagram-solving.

Edinburgh, Ep. 2 (Book Festival)

August 22, 2011 — In a literary showcase like few before it, the Literary Death Match talent-fest at Edinburgh Book Festival finished with a Scot-off, as Christopher Brookmyre stole victory at a Books By Numbers finale that saw him overtake co-finalist Billy Letford in the late-seconds, winning the LDM crown by the narrowest three point margin literature has ever seen.

Latitude Festival, Ep. 1

July 14, 2011 — In the most populated LDM in Great Britain history (sponsored by Picador), droves showed to witness David Whitehouse win-out over Fiction Uncovered's Jake Wallis Simons by the largest margin of victory in LDM history (1985-to-1) in a Deal Or No Deal-style finish that won Whitehouse the LDM crown.
