Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:03PM October 16, 2018 — In our annual drop-in to wondrous Salt Lake City, Literary Death Match once again teamed with the brilliant Utah Humanities Book Festival for a night of words, wit and weird that saw Ryan Jones defeat Brian Laidlaw in a down-to-the-wire Arithme-Lit finale, winning Jones the Salt Lake City, Ep. 6 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:14AM September 16, 2017 — In one of our favorite annual traditions, Literary Death Match returned to the Utah Humanities Book Festival for a brilliant night of literary and comedic zing that finished with Abraham Smith outdueling Franny Choi in a American Psycho or American President? finale to win his record 5th LDM medal, and literary immortality to go with it.
Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 1:09PM To celebrate all that is brilliant, Literary Death Match headed back to The State Room, as we once again teamed with the Utah Humanities Book Festival for a magical night that saw Good Ghost Bill topple RJ Walker in a Quiz of Death-turned-Literary Spelling Bee finale to win Good Ghost Bill (Bill Moran) the LDM Salt Lake City, Ep. 4 crown and literary immortality to go with it.
Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 7:02PM October 16, 2014 — In our annual jaunt to Salt Lake City, we once again teamed up with the bright minds behind the Utah Humanities Book Festival to put on a wild night of literary delights that finished with DeAnn Emett outdueling co-finalist Rachel Levy in a Lone Star Lit finale that went to sudden death, winning Emett the LDM Salt Lake City, Ep. 3 crown.
Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 7:56PM October 24, 2013 — In a brilliantly successful return to Salt Lake City, Literary Death Match's partnership with the Utah Humanities Book Festival offered up a wild night of whimsy and smarts that ended with Sara Zarr out dueling co-finalist Melissa Bond 10-5 in a hotly contested Pulitzer Pictionary finale that won Zarr the LDM Salt Lake City, Ep. 2 crown.
Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 4:39AM June 27, 2013 — For our second annual cartoonists-only spectacular, Literary Death Match teamed up with the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists for our Salt Lake City debut (our 49th city!) at The Tavernacle. The night was an eye-candy filled evening that finished with Steve Benson out-dueling fellow finalist Lalo Alcaraz 12.5 to 12 in a whiz bang Quiz of Death to win Benson the LDM Salt Lake City crown.
