Hartford, Ep. 1

April 26, 2014 — In one of the most thrilling debuts we could imagine, Literary Death Match headed to the Mark Twain House in Hartford, where Julia Pistell outdueled Jon Sands in LDM's Literary Spelling Bee II by the narrowest of margins to win Pistell the LDM Hartford, Ep. 1 crown.

Quinnipiac, Ep. 2

November 5, 2013 — In Literary Death Match's victorious return to Quinnipiac University for our second-ever episode in Connecticut, it was Sam Austin who narrowly outshined co-finalist Joe Virgillito in a wild game of Literary Pictionary that finished with a closer-than-it-appears score of 13-3 to win Austin the LDM Quinnipiac crown.

Brooklyn, Ep. 2

October 9, 2013 — After an all-time classic at our Brooklyn debut in May, Literary Death Match returned with an equally dazzling showcase at Union Hall that ended in wildly, hilarious fashion as Paul La Farge outlasted Maris Kreizman by a score of 67-21 in a Lone Star Lit finale to win La Farge the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 2 crown.

Brooklyn, Ep. 1

May 9, 2013 — After 44 Manhattan-based events, Literary Death Match is made the obvious move to the better borough, with an offiical Brooklyn debut at Union Hall that saw Alexander Chee outduel co-finalist Alina Simone in an exhilirating Literary Pictionary finale that Chee won with a closer-than-it-seems 9-1 victory, to win him the LDM Brookyn, Ep. 1 crown.

DC, Ep. 5 (at Kennedy Center)

January 31, 2013 — LDM kicked off 2013 in brilliant style, as our Kennedy Center debut (presented by Story League) was jam-packed and lightning-swift, an hour of sheer literary and comedic power witnessed by a glorious audience that saw bestselling author Carolyn Parkhurst outduel co-finalist and show-stopper Adele Hampton in a wowing blaze of Literary Card Sharks that won Parkhurst the Literary Death Match crown.

Philadelphia, Ep. 4

October 17, 2012 — On a cool autumn night in brilliant Philadelphia, Literary Death Match returned to World Cafe Live to celebrate our 250th-ever show with Painted Bride Quarterly. The night ended with Dan Wilbur (author of How Not to Read) outdueling General Idea co-curator Kim Gek Lin Short in an air-tight game of Literary Card Sharks that ended with him being crowned as LDM champ.
