Austin, Ep. 12

November 4, 2017 — For our annual Austin drop-in, Literary Death Match once again teamed with the Texas Book Festival for a Lit Crawl-fueled night of splendiferousness at The North Door that saw Rakesh Satyal narrowly topple Melissa Febos in a wild Literary Spelling Bee III finale by a single point to win Satyal the LDM Austin, Ep. 12 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

Brooklyn, Ep. 10

July 12, 2017 — To defeat the scald of Brooklyn summer, Literary Death Match returned to the ever-cool of The Bell House for a night that saw the first-ever four-finalist finale, in which Lisa Ko outdueled Rakesh Satyal, Jamie Brickhouse and Lauren Duca, in a tense Literary Spelling Bee III finale to win Ko the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 10 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

The Hamptons, Ep. 2

July 7, 2017 — Literary Death Match returned to The Hamptons for a spectacular at Guild Hall in East Hampton, sponsored by EAST Magazine — a stellar night that saw Elna Baker outduel Chimene Suleyman in a Literary Spelling Bee III finale to win Baker the LDM Hamptons, Ep. 2 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

SF, Ep. 48 (at Litquake)

October 11, 2012 — Literary Death Match's return to Litquake was a riot on repeat, a brilliant night at Beatbox, celebrating Simon Rich's brilliant new novel What in God's Namethat ended with Team Simon Rich toppling Team Tim "Toaster" Henderson in a hotly contested Name that Literary Tune matchup by a final score of 8-6 to win Rich the Literary Death Match Litquake crown.

SF, Ep. 45

May 11, 2012 — Before a wonderfully wild Elbo Room crowd, Literary Death Match SF — presented by Paul's Hat Works — stormed to its record-setting 45th episode in San Francisco, with a delight-filled night that concluded with Team Michael David Lukas scoring a come-from-behind win against Team Sarah Marie Griffin in a mis-named Book Jenga finale by a final score of 8-7, winning Lukas the Literary Death Match crown.

NYC, Ep. 33

November 18, 2010 — On a fantastically oddball Thanksgiving-fueled evening at the Bowery Poetry Club, the next-to-last LDM NYC of 2010 started with founder Todd Zuniga — via Skypecast from London — introducing the night, and ended with poet Gary Barwin winning the literary crown after a game of "Pass the Hot & Diseased Turkey" against runner-up novelist Sara Marcus

NYC, Ep. 27

June 17, 2010 — Brilliance reigned supreme at New York City's 27th-ever Literary Death Match, as four heavyweights slugged it out at Bowery Poetry Club, with The Rumpus founding editor Stephen Elliott out Card Shark'd co-finalist Rakesh Satyal by a final score of 2-1, avenging his LDM first-round knockout 90 episodes ago in San Francisco, and claiming the LDM crown.
