Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 8:07AM October 12, 2017 — For our annual visit to glorious Calgary, Literary Death Match returned to Wordfest for a YA spectacular at Big Secret Theatre that was pure delight from end-to-end, finishing with Alice Kuipers narrowly outdueling Susan Juby in an extraordinary double-finale (Visual Literary Riddles + American Psycho or American President?) to win Kuipers the LDM Calgary, Ep. 5 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:13PM October 7, 2017 — For our glorious return to SF, Literary Death Match returned to Elbo Room for a sensational night of words, comedy and wonderment presented by Litquake, that saw JiaJing Liu outduel Molly Giles in a down-to-the-wire Visual Literary Riddles finale that won Liu the LDM SF, Ep. 64 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:14AM September 16, 2017 — In one of our favorite annual traditions, Literary Death Match returned to the Utah Humanities Book Festival for a brilliant night of literary and comedic zing that finished with Abraham Smith outdueling Franny Choi in a American Psycho or American President? finale to win his record 5th LDM medal, and literary immortality to go with it.
Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 5:46AM September 12, 2017 — For the first time (and not the last!), Literary Death Match teamed with the masterminds at Brooklyn Book Festival, in a blazing return to The Bell House — a brilliant night that saw Sam Sax narrowly topple Melissa Febos in a wily Literary Visual Riddles finale by a closer-than-it-looks score of 1010-11, winning Sax the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 11 crown and literary immortality to go with it.
Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 9:08AM September 7, 2017 — To celebrate the launch of Adam Kay's hilarious memoir — This is Going to Hurt — Literary Death Match returned to The Phoenix in Cavendish Square for a rollicking, comedy-fueled night that saw Kay outduel Mona Arshi in a bitter Visual Literary Riddle battle by a 4-2 score, winnning Kay the LDM London crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
