Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 6:48AM March 8, 2016 — To celebrate 10 Years of Literary Death Match, we returned to our Brooklyn home at The Bell House to put on a show for the ages, as the masterful lineup of can't-miss wonderments combined to bring an instant classic to the sold out crowd, as the brilliant night finished with Victor LaValle outdueling Idra Novey in a battle of Lone Star Lit to win LaValle the LDM Brooklyn 10-Year Anniversary crown.
Friday, October 3, 2014 at 8:12AM October 3, 2014 — In our annual visit to amazing Vermont, we once again teamed with the Brattleboro Literary Festival, for a no-knockdown, no-dragout, all-wowing literary and comedic humdinger at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden that ended with Julia Fierro narrowly outdueling Julie Wu in a Lone Star Lit finale, winning Fierro the LDM Brattleboro, Ep. 3 crown.
Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 1:28PM November 6, 2013 — After two talent-blazing Brooklyn events, Literary Death Match returned to its birthplace — the Lower East Side — for a Cake Shop spectacular that saw Ashley Cardiff outlast co-finalist Jenny Zhang in a hotly-contested edition of Literary Spelling Bee II, as Cardiff won it all by a single point, securing her the Literary Death Match NYC crown.
Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 1:08AM October 15, 2013 — In a debut for the Canadiann ages, Literary Death Match saddled up at Calgary's WordFest for a Stampede City showcase that ended with D.W. Wilson narrowly out-guessing co-finalist Lisa Moore by a score of 8-7 in a rambunctious game of Canadian Lit Pictionary to win Wilson the LDM Calgary, Ep. 1 crown.
Friday, September 20, 2013 at 6:09AM September 20, 2013 — In the stable that Edith Wharton built, Literary Death Match made its mirth-fueled Berkshires debut at The Mount. The glorious, magic-filled evening finished in grand fashion, as Team Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz outdueled Team Brando Skyhorse by a centimeter in the Pin the Wharton on the Mount finale, winning Aptowicz the LDM The Berkshires, Ep. 1 crown.
Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:28AM April 18, 2013 — As a kick-off to the LA Times Festival of Books, LDM's 20th-ever episode in LA ended in slapstick fashion, as volunteers from the crowd took turns writing Pulitzer Prize-winning author's names with a Sharpie clasped between their toes. The result: Owen Egerton narrowly outdid co-finalist Ophira Eisenberg by a 4-1 score, to win the LDM LA, Ep. 20 crown!
