August 30, 2014 — In what was the greatest hour of literary wizardry of the summer, Literary Death Match headed to the amaze and awe of Bumbershoot for a mid-afternoon spectacular that saw Sara Benincasa outduel co-finalist Rachel Shukert 9-6 in a hotly contested game of Literary Spelling Bee III.

LA, Ep. 30

July 22, 2014 — In LDM's annual Westwood delight, we returned to the magnificent Hammer Museum for a mid-summer event that boasted some of LA's finest. After a pitch-perfect night, the show closed with Sean Michaels outdueling Sara Benincasa in the Quiz of Death II to win Michaels the LDM LA, Ep. 30 crown.

LA, Ep. 25

November 12, 2013 — To celebrate the numerology of the moment, Literary Death Match returned to LA on 11/12/13 with a rocket-fueled lineup at Busby's East that ended when Rachel Shukert outlasted co-finalist Carson Mell in a hotly contested Literary Spelling Bee II finale by a score of 24-19, to win Shukert the LDM LA, Ep. 25 crown.

The Berkshires, Ep. 1

September 20, 2013 — In the stable that Edith Wharton built, Literary Death Match made its mirth-fueled Berkshires debut at The Mount. The glorious, magic-filled evening finished in grand fashion, as Team Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz outdueled Team Brando Skyhorse by a centimeter in the Pin the Wharton on the Mount finale, winning Aptowicz the LDM The Berkshires, Ep. 1 crown.

NYC, Ep. 29

August 19, 2010 — We promised a hot and sticky night, and NYC, Ep. 29 did not disappoint! After a quick and dirty run through of the rules and regs, NYC Exec Producer Ann Heatherington assembled and dissembled judges Bruce Benderson (complete with high-tech nicotine distribution system), Michael Hearst of One Ring Zero (who sadly has never had a run-in with Geraldo Rivera), and Elna Baker (formerly Mormon, currently hilarious). As is LDM custom, the audience selected at random the first round readers, Melissa Petro (of Sex Work Matters: Power and Intimacy in the Sex Industry) and Benjamin Hale (The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore).
