LA, Ep. 50 (from Quarantine)

July 14, 2020 — In our first-ever all-digital event (click here to watch if you haven't seen it!), Literary Death Match teamed with the wondrous Hammer Museum for a magical Zoom-only event that saw Roxane Gay outduel Kimberly Jones in a baffling Cyrillic Off finale, winning Gay the LDM Quarantine, Ep. 1 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

LDM 2015: Year in Review

Twin Cities, Ep. 11

April 8, 2015 — After a year+ away, Literary Death Match returned to the Twin Cities for our annual AWP spectacular at Nomad World Pub. We teamed with Painted Bride Quarterly for an electric night of literature, comedy and genius that unfolded before a jam-packed house in which Mark Doten outlasted Claire Vaye Watkins in a back-and-forth battle of Literary Charades (led by Amber Tamblyn) that won Doten the LDM Twin Cities, Ep. 11 crown.

Chicago, Ep. 7 (at AWP)

March 2, 2012 — In what's being called the "Greatest LDM Ever" (presented by Versal and Painted Bride Quarterly) a superstar-laden celebration of our 200th event at Buddy Guy's Legends culminated in a wild finish, which included the first-ever stripping of the LDM medal, before the night ended with Roxane Gay (author of Ayiti) toppling National Book Critics Circle finalist Major Jackson in the Literary Spelling Bee sudden death, to win by the narrowest of margins.
