London, Ep. 48

May 5, 2015 — To kick off a three-shows-in-one-month London run, we teamed with Quercus Books to bring LDM to the The Ace Hotel in Shoreditch for a night that featured an endless array of literary talent, judging loveliness and a wild finale that culminated with Team Tom Moran outdueling Team Jessica Cornwell in a down-to-the-wire game of Literary Musical Chairs to win Moran the LDM London, Ep. 48 crown.

Montgomery County, Ep. 1

April 25, 2015 — To close out an insane April, Literary Death Match headed to southeast Pennsylvania to partner with the Montgomery County Poet Laureate program to celebrate National Poetry Month in style. The fantastic night ended with Ryan Torres outlasting Autumn Konopka by a score of 12-11 in a hotly contested battle in Literary Spelling Bee II, winning Torres the LDM Montgomery County, Ep. 1 crown.

Berkshires, Ep. 2

April 24, 2015 — In what was a triumph of great literary and oddball magnitude, Literary Death Match returned to Edith Wharton's The Mount — our second event in her stable! — for what a chilly, magical night of exceeding talent and wiseacre whimsy that ended with Jedediah Berry outlasting Courtney Maum in sudden death overtime in a wild battle of Literary Spelling Bee II to win Berry the LDM Berkshires, Ep. 2 crown.

April 21, 2015 — To celebrate all that is literarily and comedically glorious about Brooklyn, Literary Death Match debuted at The Bell House, for a night of brilliant text, calamitous judging, and an oddball Literary Charades finish that saw Kent Russell topple Lane Moore in sudden death overtime to win the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 4 crown.

April 15, 2015 — In an attempt to live up to our electric October debut, Literary Death Match teamed with The Porch Writers' Collective for our return to Nashville — the front-runner for our City of the Year in 2015 — and what a return it was at The Stone Fox, as it took sudden death for Adam Ross to topple Tiana Clark in an exhilarating game of Lone Star Lit, winning Ross the LDM Nashville, Ep. 2 crown.

April 14, 2015 — For our annual, spring classic in Austin, we returned to The North Door for a blowout of the most extraordinary order, with a brilliant lineup that had the audience in throes that saw Jason Neulander outlast K.A. Holt in a rollicking game of Literary 20 Questions that won Neulander the LDM Austin, Ep. 9 crown.

April 8, 2015 — After a year+ away, Literary Death Match returned to the Twin Cities for our annual AWP spectacular at Nomad World Pub. We teamed with Painted Bride Quarterly for an electric night of literature, comedy and genius that unfolded before a jam-packed house in which Mark Doten outlasted Claire Vaye Watkins in a back-and-forth battle of Literary Charades (led by Amber Tamblyn) that won Doten the LDM Twin Cities, Ep. 11 crown.

March 18, 2015 — On the cusp of springtime, LDM teamed with The Borough Press to put a bunny-hop in your wintry step at The Phoenix on Cavendish Square, and what a night it was, as Andrea Bennett outlasted Rosie Garland in a back-and-forth battle of Literarary Spelling Bee II to win LDM by a final score of 30-28.
