October 11, 2013 On yet another dazzling night in Portland, Maine, Literary Death Match — presented by the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance — returned to the all-brilliant Space Gallery for a whizbang affair that saw Bill Roorbach outduel co-finalist Jessica Anthony by a score of 46-41 in hotly-contested Lone Star Lit finale, winning Roorbach the LDM Portland (ME), Ep. 3 crown.

Brooklyn, Ep. 2

October 9, 2013 — After an all-time classic at our Brooklyn debut in May, Literary Death Match returned with an equally dazzling showcase at Union Hall that ended in wildly, hilarious fashion as Paul La Farge outlasted Maris Kreizman by a score of 67-21 in a Lone Star Lit finale to win La Farge the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 2 crown.

Philadelphia, Ep. 5

October 8, 2013 — For Literary Death Match's grand return to the City of Brotherly Love, we celebrated Painted Bride Quarterly's 40th birthday at Underground Arts in the middle of an insta-classic that ended when Paul Lisicky stormed back from a 6-0 deficit at Literary Pictionary to topple Kimmika Williams-Witherspoon by a final score of 9-6, winning Lisicky the LDM Philadelphia, Ep. 5 crown.

Brattleboro, Ep. 2

October 4, 2013 — In the most glorious, triumphant return since Mark Twain's memoir was released, Literary Death Match returned to the Brattleboro Literary Festival to for a night that will live in Vermont's literary lore, as Roxana Robinson narrowly edged Pam Houston by a single point in a Literary Spelling Bee finale that won Robinson the Brattleboro, Ep. 2 crown.

After a summer away, Literary Death Match returned to Club OBERON for a blazing-hot October fun-tacular that ended with Steven Brykman narrowly winning over co-finalist Jenn De Leon in a Quiz of Death finale by a final score of 7 1/2 to 6 to win Brykman the LDM Boston, Ep. 13 crown.

September 24, 2013 — To conclude our world-bopping monster tour, LDM returned home to Busby's East for a banter-fueled and word-wonderful night of bliss, that saw Team Antonio Sacre outlast Team Joshua Wolf Shenk by a score of 44-14 in an exhilirating, closer-than-the-score-indicates game of "Lone Star Lit" to win Sacre the LDM LA, Ep. 24 crown.

September 20, 2013 — In the stable that Edith Wharton built, Literary Death Match made its mirth-fueled Berkshires debut at The Mount. The glorious, magic-filled evening finished in grand fashion, as Team Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz outdueled Team Brando Skyhorse by a centimeter in the Pin the Wharton on the Mount finale, winning Aptowicz the LDM The Berkshires, Ep. 1 crown.

Reykjavik, Ep. 2

September 15, 2013 — On an insanely windy night, the literary hardcore braved the crushing gales to see Literary Death Match's triumphant return to Iceland (as part of the Reykjavik International Literary Festival) — a talent-studded night that saw Sigurbjörg Þrastardóttir outduel Þórarin Eldjárn in a high-scoring Literary Spelling Bee affair that Sigurbjörg won — with the help of the audience — by a final score of 32-19 to win her the LDM Reykjavik, Ep. 2 crown.

Festival No. 6, Ep. 1

September 13, 2013 — On a drizzly Friday the 13th, Literary Death Match's Festival Festival No. 6 debut was fearless in the face of calamity, in a space overlooking Portmeirion's dazzling center. In a Literary Spelling Bee face-off, it was Rachael Allen who was able to out-letter co-finalist Richard Milward by a score of 17-11 to win the LDM Festival No. 6, Ep. 1 crown!
